The L&T news will be edited monthly from March 2026, on a new shorter and impactful format, focusing on specific topics, such as pedagogical thematics, events or focus on research. In this newsletter, student engagement is revisited on several perspectives as pedagogy is being challenged by AI and lack of attention. It is not simply about capturing learner attention, but also to provide a deep and meaningful learner experience, for students as for adult learners. Some impactful articles will be inspiring teaching experience. An article written by the L&T team is also presenting design fiction design thiking tool as we have some experts at Audencia. It highlights how this methodology helps design possible futures.

Learning and Teaching News – October 2025

AI remains a dominant topic in the Learning and Teaching news and circles. AI literacy frameworks continue to emphasise the role of human judgment in AI use. In the classroom, instructor-twins are providing insights into how and when AI agent could support faculty-students interactions. Further, we are witnessing the use of GenAI as a curiosity-booster in classroom interactions, rather than a simple task-replacement. Learners also are claiming to be more involved in strategies and policies around the use of Gen AI in their education, calling for more transparency and collaboration with their institutions. In a nutshell, what has been standing out in the past few months is a deeper refection on how best to use GenAI in various Leaning and teaching activities.

The AI promise to augment performance, in particularly students, is constantly coming to the light with new studies and publications shared in this newsletter. A recent survey by the Higher Education Policy Institute  (EN) showed that AI continues to be widely used by students and professors, and with better understanding of how it can be trusted and adopting adapted processes. Institutions still, however, have way to go to  boost overall AI literacy, review continuously assessment procedures , and offer ongoing training process to professors who prepare exams.

The Education field has been turned upside down for these last three months with the worldwide introduction of the last Generative Pre-trained Transformer of Open AI- ChatGPT. The L&T development team organised the 1st workshop in march, and a REX on Mai 3rd is organised with two faculty members to share their experince. Audencia’s official position is to embrace change and the generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, in teaching and learning. The move online in 2020 was done in rush with a steep learning curve for all actors. Today, organisations in every industry admit that there is a long-lasting effect of accelerating technology use in the past year, including higher education. This time around, however, we can plan the online teaching better.

As we look ahead to a new scholarly year, this newsletter draws on different articles in this spirit: how could we plan and deploy a better ‘physigital’ learning environment for our students? What content is best adapted? What activities are most appropriate for our intended learning outcomes? Remember, inspirations often come when the mind is wandering.
