As teachers reflect on the impact of generative AI, students have taken up the subject and are not hesitant to use ChatGPT. How? In the context of his Master’s thesis (Master Digital Cultures at Nantes University), Selma El Babarti interviewed the students of Nantes University. His thesis does not claim to be exhaustive on a complex subject but already offers us interesting and unexpected reflections on the different ways that a student can find to use AI in the context of his activities. The analyses of this article seem very relevant and question us: how to better support students so that their use of these technologies is useful, but especially carried out safely?
