Who are we ?
About the learning and teaching
This portal’s purpose is to make inspirational resources on pedagogical practices available. Some of them are public, others are restricted with access only for internal Audencia users. They are mainly the fruit of collaborations between teaching staff and pedagogical engineers in the school, but may also link to content accessible on the Internet.
AUDENCIA’S PEDAGOGICAL SIGNATURE
Audencia’s ambition is to train active citizens and responsible leaders and stakeholders, capable of responding creatively and with agility to the demands and opportunities of their organisation’s context. To respond to these challenges, Audencia’s pedagogy is based on four main principles :
Principle 1 : multidisciplinary learning
Core knowledge provides an in-depth understanding of concepts and theories, while multidisciplinary learning brings together skills from different fields such as engineering, art, architecture, political science, culture and law, as well as celebrating diversity. Multidisciplinary learning allows for an holistic perspective on the social and environmental challenges that leaders, and their organisations, face.
Principle 2 : learning by doing
Experience and its application to case studies are at the heart of our teaching methods. These situations allow us to mobilise concepts, tools and models in a pragmatic and concrete way. They aim at questioning and withdrawing new approaches favouring sustainable change.
Principle 3 : critical reflection
Stimulating critical reflection helps learners to understand situations differently, and to learn-by-learning. This reflection enables these future leaders to make decisions in complex situations. The ambition is to explore multiple hypotheses by being sensitive to the variety of perspectives and angles, possible actions and their implications.
Principle 4 : competence-based pedagogy
Audencia’s pedagogical development is based on a triptych of societal, behavioural and professional skills. Audencia provides the ideal environment for each student to experience the development of these skills: during the academic course, as well as through professional experiences and personal projects. The aim is for each student to develop sufficient awareness during their time in the school to have a positive impact on a society in transition.
Learning & Teaching Development pour une expérience apprenante différenciante
The Learning & Teaching Development division works at the service of programs and teachers in the support of pedagogical engineering and innovation: digital learning, hackathons, workshop animation and any other educational project. Depending on the subject, external support may be required to make specific digital productions. The Learning department, in collaboration with the Knowledge Hub , is also responsible for monitoring pedagogy, through participation in trade fairs and the organization of monthly feedback, the creation of a quarterly newsletter for teachers or the feed of the hub Learning Teaching.
THE PEDAGOGIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGERS
The team supports programmes and teachers in their needs for pedagogical development and transformation.
