Blackboard Learn Ultra what is it?
Blackboard Learn is the LMS platform (Learning Management System) chosen by Audencia to develop the learning experience there and training online of students, learners and trainees of continuing education.
Its vocation is to host all online interactions of an educational and/or pedagogical nature.
The Blackboard Learn Ultra platform is designed to optimize its users' daily tasks, offering flexibility and ease of use for content management and results evaluation. Flexible, inclusive, insightful, the proposed experience was designed by educators and for educators, making teaching and learning easier and more effective. In this spirit, Anthology, a global EdTech leader and the owner of Blackboard, has developed a community space where its users collaborate to contribute to the continuous updating of the product roadmap.
The functionalities of Blackboard Learn Ultra
Blackboard Learn Ultra offers the following functionalities :
- A simplified navigation : everything is accessible in one click, with a global activity thread, a calendar and direct access to the notes and tasks to be corrected
- An organization in learning modules : sequential journeys with progress tracking, customizable thumbnails and smooth navigation
- Ultra documents to develop content and interactions : rich pages (text, media, embedded files, HTML blocks, etc.), improved replacement of "blank pages"
- Conditions of publication : conditional access based on date, sequence, performance or groups
- Smart tests & quizzes : original questions (mixed sentence...), single submission view, document printing
- Assignments : easy creation and management in the Ultra interface
- A revamped gradebook : multiple views — rated items, detailed grades, individual progression; improved navigation, bulk editable categories
- A global flow of activity : centralizes ads, messages, participations
- Announcements & messages : multimedia creation, notifications and integrated messaging by course or institution
- Discussions & groups : reactive forums to engage learners
- Access to external tools via LTI : Wooclap, Panopto
- Integrated insights & analytics : rapports sur l’engagement, activités en retard, annonces suivies
- An AI Design Assistant : automatic generation of sections, quiz, module structures, images...

Blackboard space for the Permanent Faculty
The L&T Pole with the support of volunteer teachers have developed a space making visible and accessible examples of uses – not to be confused with models of uses – to allow for identifying different uses, discovering functionalities, inspiring ideas.
Member of the Permanent Faculty, you can request your access via pedagogy@audencia.com and you will be able to discover course spaces developed in very different periods and contexts, for fully or partially self-supporting courses or intersessional sharing and engagement spaces...
